Deposit Terms
Deposits and reserving stock
1. What a deposit does. When you pay a deposit, we reserve the specific units in your order for you. This applies whether the units are in our warehouse or on order from the manufacturer for future delivery. Once reserved, those units are held for you and we will not sell them to anyone else.
2. Why deposits are non-refundable. Because the units are taken out of availability for other customers, and because we may place or confirm manufacturer orders on the strength of your deposit, a deposit is non-refundable. It is not a fee for holding stock. It is a payment toward your order, and it counts against the price when the order completes.
3. Long holds and delays. We are happy to keep your units reserved for as long as your project needs, at no extra charge. If your project is delayed or falls through, talk to us as early as possible. We will do what we reasonably can to extend the hold, and to move your deposit to a different order. We will agree any transfer with you in writing.
4. Our delays. If we are unable to supply the reserved units, or we cancel your order for a reason other than your default, we will refund your deposit in full.
5. Balance and timing. The balance is due as set out on your quote or invoice. We need two weeks' notice to arrange delivery and installation once your studio is ready. If you do not pay the balance or accept delivery within the period agreed with us, and we have not agreed a longer hold, we may release the units for sale to others and keep the deposit.
6. Your legal rights. Nothing in these deposit terms affects any right you have as a consumer by law, including any right to cancel a distance or off-premises sale or any right to a remedy if goods are faulty or not as described. If you are a consumer and you cancel within the statutory cancellation period, we will refund as the law requires.
7. Finance. If you are paying through a finance provider, the funder's terms apply to the finance agreement. These deposit terms apply to any deposit paid to us.
